SmartCityLab Milano Opens Its Doors: A Space for Startups and Urban Innovation
The countdown is almost over: on July 22, 2025, SmartCityLab Milano will be officially inaugurated — a new space designed to host startups and projects focused on urban innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation. A dynamic hub, open to the city and to the entire innovation ecosystem, created to foster connections, experimentation, and growth.
A Preview Reserved for Partners
Ahead of the official opening, an exclusive preview event was held on July 17 for the project’s partners, institutions, and stakeholders — including Urban Futures — who supported its development. During the Open Day, participants had the chance to explore the spaces at Via Giuseppe Ripamonti 88, learn more about the lab’s structure, and discover the first initiatives that will take shape within this new urban innovation ecosystem.
What Is SmartCityLab Milano?
SmartCityLab Milano is a space dedicated to the support and growth of innovative startups — a reference point for those working to build smarter, more inclusive, and sustainable cities. The lab is designed to host pilot projects, promote synergy between the public and private sectors, and support the creation of solutions with high social, environmental, and technological impact. As part of this journey, Urban Futures plays an active role in the project, contributing to the development of an environment that nurtures innovation and fosters dialogue among institutions, businesses, and emerging entrepreneurial ventures.
